NOTIFICATION
Mumbai, the 7th May, 2019
No.TAMP/81/2015-IGTPL.—In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 48 of the Major Port Trusts Act,
1963 (38 of 1963), the Tariff Authority for Major Ports hereby extends the validity of the existing Scale of Rates of the
India Gateway Terminal Private Limited in the Cochin Port Trust as in the Order appended hereto.

(Passed on this 3rd day of May 2019)
This case relates to the extension of the validity of the existing Scale of Rates of the India Gateway Terminal
Private Limited (IGTPL) operating at the Cochin Port Trust (COPT).
2. The existing Scale of Rates (SOR) of IGTPL was approved by this Authority vide Order No.TAMP/81/2015-
IGTPL dated 17 September 2016 which was notified in the Gazette of India on 14 October 2016 vide Gazette No.380.
Subsequently, a speaking Order was notified vide Gazette No.408 dated 15 November 2016. The Order prescribed the
validity of the SOR till 31 March 2019.
3.1. The IGTPL vide its letter dated 25 March 2019 has stated that, the Tariff Guidelines, 2019 is a broad Policy
framework. However, IGTPL is in the process of formulating a proposal for revision of tariff based on Tariff Guidelines,
2019 and also agreed to file it at the earliest.
3.2. Accordingly, the IGTPL has requested us to grant an extension of the validity of the existing SOR until
implementation of newly approved tariff.
4.1. Since the validity of the existing tariff of IGTPL has expired on 31 March 2019 and based on the request made
by IGTPL for the reasons cited by it and considering the time required for processing the proposal (to be) filed by the
IGTPL as per Tariff Guidelines, 2019 and in order to avoid a vacuum in the tariff, it is felt appropriate to extend the
validity of the existing tariff of IGTPL beyond 31 March 2019.
4.2. Accordingly, this Authority extends the validity of the existing tariff of IGTPL for a period of 6 months i.e.
from 01 April 2019 to 30 September 2019 or till the revised tariff comes into effect, whichever is earlier.
4.3. With regard to submission of the proposal, considering that the validity has been extended upto 30 September
2019 and the revised SOR may have to be in place in time, the IGTPL is advised to file its proposal for general revision
of its tariff by 31 May 2019.
