New Delhi, the 11th January, 2019
G.S.R. 22(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) and clause (f) of sub-section (2) of
section 52 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 (37 of 1967), the Central Government hereby
makes the following rules further to amend the Investigation of High Quality Counterfeit Indian Currency
Offences Rules, 2013, namely :—
1. Short title and commencement.—(1) These rules may be called the Investigation of High Quality
Counterfeit Indian Currency Offences (Amendment) Rules, 2019.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Investigation of High Quality Counterfeit Indian Currency Offences Rules, 2013, in rule 5, in
clause (b), for the words “three highest denominations”, the words “notes of denomination of One hundred
rupees and above” shall be substituted.
