NOTIFICATION
Mumbai, the 14th July, 2016
No. TAMP/14/2013-MBPT.—In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 48 of the Major Port
Trusts Act, 1963 (38 of 1963), the Tariff Authority for Major Ports hereby extends the validity of the existing
rate for the use of weighbridge operated by M/s. Buthello Travels (BT) at the Mumbai Port Trust (MBPT)
docks, as in the Order appended hereto.

(Passed on this 5th day of July 2016)
The existing tariff for the use of two 60 tonnes weighbridge operated by M/s. Buthello Travels
installed at the Mumbai Port Trust (MBPT) docks was last approved by this Authority vide Order No.
TAMP/14/2013-MBPT which was notified in the Gazette of India on 28 February 2014 vide Gazette no. 73.
The Order prescribed a tariff validity period upto 31 March 2016.
1.2. However, as the BT had not filed its proposal for revision of its Scale of Rates (SOR), we have vide
our letter dated 10 June 2016 advised BT to file its proposal for revision of rate for the two 60 tonnes
weighbridges immediately.
2.1. In response to our communication, M/s BT vide its letter dated 21 June 2016 has requested additional
time upto 1st week of August to prepare and file a complete proposal. The BT has also stated that, it has got no
objection towards the increase in the tariff as mentioned in the gazette and continue with the same until further
notice.
2.2. In other words BT has sought extension to the validity of its SOR and has indicated submission of its
proposal by 1st week of August.
3. The validity of the existing rate for use of weighbridges operated by the BT in the port premises of the
Mumbai Port Trust has already expired on 31 March 2016. Considering the time required for processing the
proposal (to be) filed by the BT, it is felt appropriate to extend the validity of the existing rate for use of
weighbridges operated by the BT beyond 31 March 2016. Since this Authority has extended the validity of
the SOR in some cases upto 30 September 2016, the validity of the SOR of BT is also extended till 30
September 2016.
4. In view of the above position, this Authority extends the validity of the existing rate for use of
weighbridges operated by the BT upto 30 September 2016. The BT is advised to file its proposal in
accordance with the Tariff Guidelines of March 2005, positively by 1st week of August 2016, as requested by
it.
