New Delhi, the 6th July, 2016
S.O. 2325(E).–In pursuance of the powers conferred under clause (1) of article 239 of the
Constitution, the President hereby directs that the powers and functions of the Appropriate
Government under the Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending)
Act, 2014 (7 of 2014) shall, subject to the control of the President and until further orders, be
exercised and discharged, in relation to the Union territories of Daman and Diu, Dadra and Nagar
Haveli, Chandigarh, Lakshadweep and Andaman and Nicobar Islands, by the Administrators thereof,
within their respective Union territories.
