ORDER:
In the reference 1st read above, the Commissioner of
Industries, have requested for permission to draw water to Engineer-
in-Chief (Irr). The Engineer-in-Chief (Irr) Hyderabad vide reference 2nd
read above has informed that the M/s. Sagar Cements Limited,
Sy.No.434 ,Pedaveedu (V),Mattamapally(M), Nalgonda District has
filed an application in State Level Single Window Clearance Committee
(SLSWCC) and requested to accord permission to draw a quantum of
7500 KL/day or 2.74 M. cum or 0.097 TMC of water per annum from
River Krishna for a period of 10 years.
2. Further the Engineer-in-Chief (Irr) Hyderabad has also stated
that the above proposals was also communicated to the Chief Engineer
(IS&WR) to examine the proposals from interstate point of view. The
Chief Engineer (IS&WR) has advised what the proposal can be
considered duly consulting Chief Engineer (Minor Irrigation) only if
savings are available under Minor Irrigation in K-7 sub basin from the
allocated water under KWDT.
3. In the reference 2nd read above, the Chief Engineer, Minor
Irrigation, Hyderabad has reported that as per the KWDT award, the
water allocation from K-7 Sub basin to Minor Irrigation is 45.02 TMC,
in the state of Andhra Pradesh. As per the updated Master plan records
of the K-7 Lower-Krishna Sub Basin (2005), the total yield available in
the Sub basin is 57.466 TMC and the yield utilization is 54.575 TMC
thus the balance yield available is 2.90 TMC. Further, as per the H.C
registers, the total utilizations in the K-7 Sub basin from 2006 works
out to 2.76 TMC, as on date. Hence there is a balance yield of 0.14
TMC under Minor Irrigation. The matter was then referred to the
Engineer-in-Chief (Irr) who recommended drawl of 7500 KL/day or
2.74 M. cum or 0.097 TMC of water per annum from River Krishna
from the savings indicated by the Chief Engineer, Minor Irrigation,
Hyderabad.
4. Government after careful examination of the proposal hereby
accord permission to draw a quantum of 7500 KL/day or 2.74 M. cum
or 0.097 TMC per annum of water from River Krishna to M/s. Sagar
Cements Limited,Sy.No.434, Pedaveedu (V), Mattamapally (M),
Nalgonda District for a period of 10 years with usual terms and
conditions with regard to pollutions, royalty, structure permissions,
durations etc., given in this regard vide Government orders from time
to time.//2//
5. The Engineer-in-Chief (Irr) Hyderabad shall take necessary
action accordingly.
