G.O.Ms.No.542, PR&RD (Pts.IV) Dept., dt.03-12-2007. 2. Lr.No. H6/1493/2009, dt. 10.12.2009 of the District Collector, East Godavari District. 3. From the C&DMA, Lr.Roc.No. 021424/2009-Ele.I, dt. 29.12.09. 4. Govt. Memo No. 10363/Pts.IV/A1/11, dt. 04.06.2011. 5. Lr.Roc.No. 2673/2009/A4, dt. 29.06.2011 from the DPO, E G District. * * * ORDER: In the reference 2nd read above, the District Collector, East Godavari District has sent a proposal for inclusion of surrounding (6) Gram Panchayats i.e., 1) Meredubaka; 2) Nelateru; 3) Yeditha; 4) Tapeswaram; 5) Ippanapadu and 6) Arthamuru into the Mandapeta Municipal limits of East Godavari District through Commissioner & Director of Municipal Administration vide reference 3rd read above. 2) In the reference 4th read above, show-cause notices to the (6) Gram Panchayats have been issued asking them as to why the above Gram Panchayats could not be included in the Mandapeta Municipality. In response to the show cause notices, the District Panchayat Officer, East Godavari District has obtained the views of all the above Gram Panchayats vide reference 5th read above and submitted to the Government stating that all the Gram Panchayats have opposed the proposal mentioning various reasons in their respective resolutions. 3) Government have examined the objections raised by the above Gram Panchayats and found that the objections are mere apprehensions without any basis and that there is no substance in any of the objections put forth by the Gram Panchayats. The decision of merging the surrounding six Gram Panchayats into Mandapeta Municipality has been taken in the larger interests of the people of the area keeping in view of its over all development and to provide better amenities to the public, and hence the Government have felt that the objections raised by the above Gram Panchayats are not maintainable and do not deserve consideration. Therefore, the Government have decided to cancel the resolutions passed by the respective said six Gram Panchayats and also decided to merge the surrounding (6) Gram Panchayats into Mandapeta Municipal limits in East Godavari District. 4) Government, after careful examination have decided to cancel the Notifications issued, declaring the 1) Meredubaka; 2) Nelateru; 3) Yeditha; 4) Tapeswaram; 5) Ippanapadu and 6) Arthamuru as Gram Panchayat, so as to include the areas into Mandapeta Municipality in East Godavari District 5) Therefore, the following Notifications will be published in an Extraordinary Issue of the Andhra Pradesh Gazette dated: 07.02.2012. P.T.O.:: 2 :: 6) The Commissioner of Printing, Stationary & Stores Purchase, Hyderabad shall publish the following Notification in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette and furnish (30) copies of the same to the Government immediately. NOTIFICATION-I In exercise of the powers conferred under sub section (1) of section 246 of the Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1994 (Andhra Pradesh Act. No.13 of 1994) the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby cancels the following resolutions passed by the respective Gram Panchayats of East Godavari District opposing for merging the surrounding villages into Mandapeta Municipality. 1. Resolution No. 7, dated 18.06.2011 passed by the Gram Panchayat, Meredubaka; 2. Resolution No. 26, dated 18.06.2011 passed by the Gram Panchayat, Tapeswaram; 3. Resolution No.25, dated 18.06.2011 passed by the Gram Panchayat, Yeditha; 4. Resolution No. 72, dated 29.07.2009 passed by the Gram Panchayat, Ippanapadu; 5. Resolution No. 26, dated 18.06.2011 passed by the Gram Panchayat, Arthamuru and 6. Resolution No. 7, dated 17.06.2011 passed by the Gram Panchayat, Nelaturu NOTIFICATION-II In exercise of the powers conferred under clause (f) of sub-section (2) of Section 3 of the Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1994 (Andhra Pradesh Act No.13 of 1994) read with clause (i) of sub-rule (1) of rule 12 of the Andhra Pradesh Gram Panchayats (Declaration of Villages) Rules,2007 issued in the G.O.Ms.No.542, Panchayat Raj and Rural Development (Pts.IV) Dept., dt.3-12-2007, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby cancels the Notifications issued declaring the (6) Villages i.e., 1) Meredubaka; 2) Nelateru; 3) Yeditha; 4) Tapeswaram; 5) Ippanapadu and 6) Arthamuru as Gram Panchayat, so as to include the areas into Mandapeta Municipality in East Godavari District.
