Read the following:- 1. G.O.Ms.No.542, PR&RD (Pts.IV) Dept., dt.03-12-2007. 2. Lr.No.478/2011/A2, dated 26.05.2011 of the District Collector, Vizianagaram District. 3. From the C&DMA, Lr.Roc.No. 021789/2009-Ele-1, dt.13.06.2011. 4. Govt. Memo No. 14090/Pts.IV/A1/11-1, dt. 13.07.2011. 5. From Dist. Collector, Vizianagaram Lr.Roc.No. 478/2011/A2, dated 19.08.2011, together with its enclosures. * * * ORDER: In the reference 2nd read above, the District Collector, Vizianagarm District has sent a proposal for inclusion of surrounding (4) Gram Panchayats i.e., 1) Jammu (Jammunaryanapuram); 2) Dharmapuri; 3) Ayyannapeta and 4) Venugopalapuram, H/o Kondakarakam into the existing Viziananagaram Municipal limits in Vizianagaram District through Commissioner and Director of Municipal Administration vide reference 3rd cited. All the above Gram Panchayats have opposed the proposed merger. 2) In the reference 4th read above, show-cause notices have been issued to the above (4) Gram Panchayats asking them as to why the above Gram Panchayats could not be included in the Vizianagarm Municipality. In response to the show cause notices, the District Collector, Vizianagaram District has obtained the views of the above Gram Panchayats vide reference 5th read above and submitted to the Government stating that all the Gram Panchayats have opposed the proposed merger mentioning various reasons in their respective resolutions. 3) Government have examined the objections raised by the above Gram Panchayats and found that the objections are mere apprehensions without any basis and that there is no substance in any of the objections put forth by the Gram Panchayats. The decision of merging the surrounding Gram Panchayats into Municipality has been taken in the larger interests of the people of the area keeping in view of its over all development and to provide better amenities to the public and hence the Government have felt that the objections raised by the above Gram Panchayats are not maintainable and do not deserve consideration. Therefore, the Government have decided to cancel the resolutions passed by the respective Gram Panchayats and also decided to merge the surrounding (4) Gram Panchayats into Vizianagaram Municipality of Vizianagaram District. 4) Government, after careful examination have decided to cancel the Notification issued, declaring the 1) Jammu (Jammunaryanapuram); 2) Dharmapuri; 3) Ayyannapeta and 4) Venugopalapuram, H/o Kondakarakam as Gram Panchayats, so as to include the Gram Panchayats into Vizianagaram Municipality in Vizianagaram District. 5) Therefore, the following Notification will be published in an Extraordinary Issue of the Andhra Pradesh Gazette, dated: 07/02/2012. P.T.O.:: 2 :: 6) The Commissioner of Printing, Stationary & Stores Purchase, Hyderabad shall publish the following Notifications in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette and furnish (30) copies of the same to the Government immediately. NOTIFICATION-I In exercise of the powers conferred under sub section (1) of section 246 of the Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1994 (Andhra Pradesh Act. No. 13 of 1994) the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby cancels the following resolutions passed by the respective Gram Panchayats of Vizianagaram District opposing for merging into the limits of Vizianagaram Municipality. 1. Resolution No. Nil, dated 06.08.2011 passed by the Gram Panchayat, Jammunarayanapuram; 2. Resolution No. Nil, dated 08.08.2011 passed by the Gram Panchayat, Ayyannapeta; 3. Resolution No.1, dated 06.08.2011 passed by the Gram Panchayat, Dharmapuri; and 4. Resolution No. Nil, dated 06.08.2011 passed by the Gram Panchayat, Venugopalapuram, H/o Kondakarakam NOTIFICATION-II In exercise of the powers conferred under clause (f) of sub-section (2) of Section 3 of the Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1994 (Andhra Pradesh Act No.13 of 1994) read with clause (i) of sub-rule (1) of rule 12 of the Andhra Pradesh Gram Panchayats (Declaration of Villages) Rules,2007 issued in the G.O.Ms.No.542, Panchayat Raj and Rural Development (Pts.IV) Dept., dt:.3-12-2007, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby cancels the Notifications issued declaring the Villages i.e., 1) Jammu (Jammunaryanapuram); 2) Dharmapuri; 3) Ayyannapeta and 4) Venugopalapuram, H/o Kondakarakam, as Gram Panchayats so as to include the areas into the limits of Vizianagaram Municipality in Vizianagaram District (BY ORDER AND IN THE NAME OF THE GOVERNOR OF ANDHRA PRADESH) C.R.
