From the MA&UD., (Ele.1) Dept., U.o.No. 2211/Ele.1/2011, dt. 04-08-2011. >>><<< ORDER: In the reference 2nd read above, the District Collector, East Godavari District has sent a proposal for inclusion of surrounding (2) Gram Panchayats i.e., Gudiwada and Pulimeru into Peddapuram Municipal limits of East Godavari District through Commissioner & Director of Municipal Administration, Hyderabad vide reference 3rd read above. The (2) Gram Panchayats have not furnished their resolutions. 2) In the reference 4th read above, show-cause notices have been issued to the (2) Gram Panchayats asking them as to why the said Gram Panchayats could not be included into Peddapuram Municipality. In response to the show cause notices, the District Panchayat Officer, East Godavari District has obtained the views of the (2) Gram Panchayats vide reference 5th read above and submitted to the Government stating that (2) Gram Panchayats i.e., Gudiwada and Pulimeru have opposed the proposal mentioning various reasons in their respective Gram Panchayat resolutions. 3) In the reference 6th read above, the Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department have requested to include only Gudiwada Gram Panchayat into the limits of Peddapuram Municipality. 4.) Government have examined the objections raised by the Gram Panchayat Gudiwada and found that the objections are mere apprehensions without any basis and that there is no substance in any of the objections put forth by the Gram Panchayat. The decision of merging the Gram Panchayat into Municipality has been taken in the larger interests of the people of the area keeping in view of its over all development and to provide better amenities to the public, and hence the Government have felt that the objections raised by the above Gram Panchayat are not maintainable and do not deserve consideration. Therefore, the Government have decided to cancel the resolution passed by the Gram Panchayat Gudiwada and also decided to merge the said Gram Panchayat into Peddapuram Municipal limits of East Godavari District. 4) Government, after careful examination have decided to cancel the Notification issued, declaring the Gudiwada as Gram Panchayat, so as to include the area into Peddapuram Municipality in East Godavari District. P.T.O..: 2 : 5) Therefore, the following Notification will be published in an Extraordinary Issue of the Andhra Pradesh Gazette, dated:07.02.2012. 6) The Commissioner of Printing, Stationary & Stores Purchase, Hyderabad shall publish the following Notification in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette and furnish (30) copies of the same to the Government immediately. NOTIFICATION-I In exercise of the powers conferred under sub section (1) of section 246 of the Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1994 (Andhra Pradesh Act. No. 13 of 1994) the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby cancels the Resolution No.7 dt:18.06.2011 passed by the Gram Panchayat, Gudiwada, East Godavari District opposing for merging their village into Peddapuram Municipality. NOTIFICATION-II In exercise of the powers conferred under clause (f) of sub-section (2) of Section 3 of the Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1994 (Andhra Pradesh Act No.13 of 1994) read with clause (i) of sub-rule (1) of rule 12 of the Andhra Pradesh Gram Panchayats (Declaration of Villages) Rules, 2007 issued in the G.O.Ms.No. 542, Panchayat Raj and Rural Development (Pts.IV) Department, dated.03-12-2007, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby cancels the Notification Issued declaring the Village i.e., Gudiwada as Gram Panchayat, so as to include the area into Peddapuram Municipality in East Godavari District.
