Read the following:- 1) G.O.Ms.No.68, Irrigation & CAD (PW:LA.IV-R&R) Department, Dated 08-04-2005. 2) From the Commissioner (R&R), Irrigation & CAD Department, Letter No.847/CRR/SRO/2009, dated 03-05-2011. >><< O R D E R: In the G.O. 1st read above, Government have issued the R&R Policy, 2005 and subsequently certain Amendments have been issued from time to time to the said G.O. 2. In the reference 2nd read above, the Commissioner (R&R), Irrigation & CAD Department, Secunderabad has informed that as per Para 7.5 of State R&R Policy, an Ombudsman shall be appointed by the appropriate Government in the manner as may be prescribed, for time bound disposal of the grievances arising out of the matters covered by the policy. As per the policy, the form and manner and the time within which complaints may be made to the Ombudsman and disposed of shall be such as may be prescribed by the appropriate Government. As such, he has requested the Government to issue necessary orders for appointment of the Ombudsman for the redressal of grievances relating to implementation of the R&R Policy, 2005. 3. The R.&R in Irrigation Projects under Jalayagnam are in advance stage of completion and the appointment of Ombudsman has become essential at this stage. Accordingly, Government after careful examination of the matter have decided to appoint an Ombudsman for the redressal of grievances relating to implementation of the R&R Policy, 2005. The mode of appointment of the Ombudsman, method of selection, tenure, powers and duties, procedure for redressal of grievances, disposal of complaints, orders to be passed etc., are Annexed to this G.O. 4. The Commissioner (R&R), Irrigation & CAD Department, Secunderabad shall take further necessary action in the matter accordingly. 5.
