NOTIFICATION In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 143 of the Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1994 (Andhra Pradesh Act No.13 of 1994), the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby extends the term of the Special Officers of Gram Panchayats appointed in G.O.Ms.No.269, PR&RD (E&R) Dept. Dated 22-8-2011 for a further period of Six(6) months w.e.f 23-2-2012 to exercise the powers, discharge the duties and perform the functions of the Gram Panchayats or until the members, the Sarpanch of Gram Panchayats elected thereof assume the office, whichever is earlier. In respect of those Special Officers appointed by the District Collector concerned after 22-8-2011 and after expiry of their term, the concerned Collector & District Magistrate of the District shall extend their term for a further period of Six (6) months or until the elected members assume charge, whichever is earlier.
