NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 10th July, 2015
S.O. 1863(E).—Whereas, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 11 of the National
Investigation Agency Act, 2008 (34 of 2008) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government had, vide
notification number S.O. 1455(E) dated the 25th June, 2011, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part-II,
Section 3, Sub-section (ii), dated the 25th June, 2011, notified the District and Sessions Court, Dehradun as the Special
Court for the purposes of sub-section (1) of section 11 of the said Act having Jurisdiction throughout the State of
Uttarakhand for the trial of scheduled offences;
And whereas, Shri Raj Krishan, District and Sessions Judge, Dehradun who was appointed as the Judge to
preside over the said Special Court vide notification number S.O. 2078(E), dated 8th July, 2013 published in the Gazette
of India, Extraordinary, Part-II, Section 3, sub-section (ii), dated the 8th July, 2013, has since retired on 31st August,
2013;
And whereas, Shri Ram Singh, District and Sessions Judge, Dehradun who was appointed by the Hon’ble Chief
Justice of the High Court of Uttarakhand to preside over the said Special Court in place of Shri Raj Krishan has been
transferred;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of Section 11 of the said Act and in
supersession of the notification number S.O. 2078(E), dated the 8th July, 2013, except as regards things done or omitted
to be done before such supersession, the Central Government, on the recommendation of the Hon’ble Chief Justice of
the High Court of Uttarakhand, hereby appoints Sri Anuj Kumar Sangal, 2nd Additional District and Sessions Judge,
Dehradun as the Judge to preside over the said Special Court.
