ALLOWANCES FIRE POLICE PERSONNEL SERVING IN LAKSHADWEEP

Will the Minister of HOME AFFAIRS be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government has noticed that the Fire Police personnel
serving in the Union Territory of Lakshadweep are not being provided with
all the allowances and benefits that are applicable to their counterparts
in other Union Territories and States;
(b) if so, the details of allowances presently being provided to the Fire
Police personnel in Lakshadweep;
(c) whether there is any proposal under consideration to revise or extend
additional risk, hardship, and island allowances to these personnel in view
of the nature of their duties and the geographical isolation of the islands;
and
(d) if so, the details thereof and the time by which the said proposal likely
to be implemented?

(a) & (b): As informed by Union Territory (UT) of Lakshadweep, the Fire
personnel serving in the UT are provided various allowances/benefits,
based on the recommendations of Seventh Central Pay Commission (CPC).
