INCLUSION OF NEW VILLAGES UNDER VIBRANT VILLAGE PROGRAMME

Will the Minister of HOME AFFAIRS be pleased to state:
(a) whether 34 border villages situated on the Indo-Nepal border in
Mihipurwa and Nawabganj development blocks of Bahraich district have
been selected recently under the Vibrant Village Programme Phase 2;
(b) if so, the details of the special action plans formulated for development
works in the said villages and the details of the basic facilities likely to
be expanded;
(c) whether budget has been allocated and released for the said purpose;
and
(d) whether the Government is proposing to include the remaining villages
of Bahraich in the next phase which are strategically important and
inaccessible rural areas, deprived of the mainstream of development,
which have not been included in the said scheme yet or likely to include
them in the near future?

Programme-II (VVP-II), as a Central Sector Scheme, with a total outlay of
₹6839 crores in select villages in blocks abutting the International Land-2-

Borders (ILBs) (except in the northern borders which are covered under
VVP-I) including 33 border villages situated on the Indo-Nepal border in
Mihipurwa and Nawabganj development blocks of Bahraich district.
