MALVIKA DEVI: Will the Minister of MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES be pleased to state: (a) whether the Government has any plans to launch any new projects or schemes for the promotion and development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and if so, the details thereof; (b) whether the Government proposes to establish new MSME hubs or industrial parks across the country and if so, the details thereof, State-wise, especially in Odisha; (c) the criteria in place for selection of such parks; and (d) whether the Government proposes to sanction at least one MSME Park in Kalahandi district to promote local entrepreneurship, employment generation and balanced regional development considering that Kalahandi is an aspirational district with significant potential for MSME-led growth? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE FOR MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES (SUSHRI SHOBHA KARANDLAJE) (a): The Central Government supplements the efforts of the State/UT Governments through various schemes, programmes and policy initiatives for credit, skill development, infrastructure and cluster development etc. This inter alia includes initiatives for providing financial assistance, credit support and technology adoption through Schemes like Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP), Credit Guarantee Scheme (CGS) for Micro & Small Enterprises (MSEs), Self Reliant India (SRI) Fund, Micro & Small Enterprises Cluster Development Programme (MSE-CDP), Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP), Tool Rooms & Technical Institutions known as Technology Centres (TCs) etc. Further, Ministry of MSME is implementing Micro and Small Enterprises Cluster Development Programme (MSE-CDP) across the country. The objective of the scheme is to enhance the productivity and competitiveness of Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) for their holistic development adopting cluster development approach by extending financial assistance as GoI grant to establish Common Facility Centers (CFCs) in the existing clusters and establish/up-grade infrastructural facilities in new/existing industrial estates/areas/flatted factory complexes. It is demand driven scheme and proposals are received from State Government/UTs as per their need.: 2 : (b): As informed by Government of Odisha, MSME department has notified a new scheme vide MSME department notification No. 8762, dated 07.12.2023 in the name of Multi Product MSME Park with a total project cost Rs. 250/- crores for development of one multi product MSME park in each district in the state of Odisha. At present development activities are ongoing/completed/as different stages in 30 MSME parks across various districts. (c): MSME Parks are being established as per the land availability in the suitable/strategic locations suitable for MSMEs. (d): As informed by Government of Odisha, One MSME Park has been taken up at kesinga in Kalahandi district, Odisha with a sanctioned area of 47.69 acres. Development of Park has been completed.
