Will the Minister of MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES be pleased to state:
(a) the number of registered Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) units in UT of
Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu at present;
(b) the number of youth employed in the MSME sector during the last five years;
(c) the number of projects sanctioned under the Prime Minister's Employment Generation
Programme (PMEGP);
(d) the number of industrial estates and MSME parks developed in the said Union Territory; and
(e) whether any special scheme is being implemented under the Technology Upgradation and
Digital MSME Mission and if so, the details thereof?

(a) to (c): As per the Udyam Registration Portal (URP), the number of Micro, Small and Medium
Enterprises (MSMEs),including Informal Micro Enterprises (IMEs) registered in UTs of Dadra and
Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu are 21,470 and 13,512 respectively.
As per URP, since the launch of URP on 01.07.2020, a total of 7.61 crore MSMEs have been
registered. These enterprises have reported an employment of 33.52 crore as on 31.01.2026. The age
wise data is not captured on URP.
Under Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP), during the last 5 years
i.e. from 2020-21 to 2024-25, a totalof 4,11,627 projects have been setup in the country.
(d): The Ministry of MSME implements Micro and Small Enterprises Cluster Development
Programme (MSE-CDP) across the country. Under the scheme,financial assistance is being extended
to establish Common Facility Centers (CFCs) in the existing clusters and establish/up-grade
infrastructural facilities in new/existing industrial estates/areas/flatted factory complexes. MSE-CDP
is a demand driven scheme and proposals have to be submitted by the State Government/UTs. So far,
no proposal from Daman and Diu and Dadra and Nagar Haveli to establish industrial estate is
received.
(e): In the recent years the industrial landscape in the country has witnessed increased
digitalisation, with enhanced operational efficiency for MSMEs. The Ministry is supporting digital
empowerment of MSMEs through online Udyam registration, training in Tool Rooms /Technology
Centres for technology adoption, incubation of new ideas and technologies through MSME Innovative
Scheme and MSE Green Investment for Financing Transformation (GIFT) scheme for promoting
investment in green technologies. To empower MSMEs with digital tools and guidance to effectively
utilize the e-commerce marketplace, MSME TEAM (Trade Enablement and Marketing) under the
World Bank supported "Raising and Accelerating MSME Productivity (RAMP)" Programme is being
implemented.
