SHRI TATKARE SUNIL DATTATREY: Will the Minister of MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES be pleased to state: (a) the trades covered under the PM Vishwakarma scheme; (b) the total amount spent under the scheme till date, along with DBTs sent to candidates’ bank accounts, particularly in Maharashtra; (c) the number of candidates trained, particularly in Maharashtra; (d) the number of trainers appointed under the scheme; and (e) the monitoring and evaluation mechanism set up for the scheme? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE FOR MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES (SUSHRI SHOBHA KARANDLAJE) (a): PM Vishwakarma scheme was launched on 17.09.2023, to provide end-to-end holistic support to artisans and craftspeople of 18 traditional trades who work with their hands and tools. 18 trades covered under PM Vishwakarma are (i) Carpenter (ii) Boat Maker (iii) Armourer (iv) Shilpi Dhatu (v)Hammer and Tool Kit Maker (vi) Locksmith (vii) Goldsmith (viii) Potter (ix) Sculptor Stone breaker (x) Cobbler/Shoesmith/Footwear artisan (xi)Mason (xii) Basket/Mat/Broom Maker/Coir Weaver (xiii) Doll & Toy Maker (Traditional) (xiv) Barber (xv) Garland maker (xvi) Washerman (xvii) Tailor and (xviii) Fishing Net Maker. (b) and (c): PM Vishwakarma scheme is a Central Sector scheme; hence State/District wise funds are not allocated. The year-wise total amount spent under the scheme is:- Financial Year Revised Estimate (RE) Expenditure Incurred (Rs. in Cr.) (Rs. in Cr.) 2023-24 753.11 745.91 2024-25 3,993.78 3,993.10 2025-26 4,400 4,438.44 In the State of Maharashtra, 2.13 lakh beneficiaries have been provided basic skill training and DBTs sent to candidates’ bank accounts isRs. 88.83 crore. (d): The number of trainers certified in the under PM Vishwakarma Scheme is 33,908. (e): PM Vishwakarma scheme operates through a robust three-tier process to ensure effective screening, verification and implementation for the benefit of traditional artisans and craftspeople. At the National level, the implementation of the Scheme is monitored through regular meetings of the National Steering Committee, which is co-chaired by the Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Secretary, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Secretary, Department of Financial Services. *****
