GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES LOK SABHA UNSTARRED QUESTION No. 3361 TO BE ANSWERED ON 12.03.2026 PMEGP IN GUJARAT 3361. SHRI PARBHUBHAI NAGARBHAI VASAVA: Will the Minister of MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES be pleased to state: (a) the number of units provided assistance under the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) in Gujarat during the last three years; and (b) whether the Government proposes to further simplify and digitize the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) registration process and if so, the details thereof? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE FOR MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES (SUSHRI SHOBHA KARANDLAJE) (a): 7,854 number of units have been provided with financial assistance in the form of Margin Money (MM) subsidy under Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) in Gujarat during the last three years i.e FY 2022-23 to FY 2024-25. (b): To facilitate seamless and digitized registration of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in line with Ease of Doing Business, the Udyam Registration Portal is currently in place in which online registration process is voluntary, cost-free, paperless and based on self- declaration. No documents or proof apart from Aadhaar Number and PAN are required to be uploaded for registering on the Portal. *****
