SC/ST AND WOMEN LED MSMEs
953. SHRI NARAYAN TATU RANE:
Will the Minister of MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES be pleased to state:
(a) the details of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Maharashtra, particularly in
Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg Lok Sabha Constituency, district-wise;
(b) the details of MSMEs owned and operated by SC,ST and women entrepreneurs of the above;
(c) the sector-wise classification (such as manufacturing, service and trade etc.) of these SC/ST and
women-owned MSMEs in Maharashtra particularly in Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg Lok Sabha Constituency;
(d) whether any special assistance or priority is being provided under various schemes or
programmes of the Union Government to promote entrepreneurship in the country; and
(e) if so, the details of MSMEs supported particularly in Maharashtra?
ANSWER

(a) and (b): The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) launched Udyam
Registration Portal (URP) on 01.07.2020 for registration of MSMEs. Further, for registration of Informal
Micro Enterprises (IMEs), Udyam Assist Platform was launched on 11.01.2023. The details of MSMEs
registered on Udyam Portal in Maharashtra, district-wise, including Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg Districts,
along with details of SC, ST and women, since inception till 31st January, 2026 are attached at Annexure
–I.
(c): The sector-wise classification (manufacturing, service and trade ) of these SC/ST and women-
owned MSMEs in Maharashtra, including in Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg Districts, are given at Annexure-
II.
(d) and (e): The Central Government supplements the efforts of the State/UT Governments through
various schemes, programmes and policy initiatives for overall development and promotion of MSMEs
in the country, including the State of Maharashtra. The Government has taken a number of initiatives to
support the MSME Sector, which inter-alia includes various schemes and programmes such as Prime
Minister's Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP), Credit Guarantee Scheme for Micro and
Small Enterprises, Micro and Small Enterprises- Cluster Development Programme (MSE-CDP), Raising
and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP), Self Reliant India (SRI) Fund, PM Vishwakarma and
MSME Champions Scheme etc.
Under PMEGP, 57,783 micro enterprises have been assisted in Maharashtra with a Margin
Money (MM) subsidy of Rs. 1,543.64 Crore, providing an estimated employment to ~4.58 lakh persons,
since inception of the Scheme i.e., FY 2008-09 till FY2025-26 (up to 02.02.2026).
