(a) whether the Government has launched any special awareness campaign for setting up
manufacturing industries in the rural areas particularly in Lakhimpur Kheri district of Uttar Pradesh, if
so, the details thereof;
(b) the details of the areas where manufacturing industries have been set up so far;
(c) the number of persons provided employment through the said industries and the details thereof;
and
(d) the details of the assistance provided to the entrepreneurs for setting up of Micro, Small and
Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Uttar Pradesh, district-wise?

(a): Under Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP), awareness camps are
organized across the country by the State Offices of Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC),
District Industries Centers (DICs), and State Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIBs) to provide
awareness to prospective entrepreneurs in rural and urban areas for setting up of micro-
enterprises.Under PMEGP, during the last 3 years i.e., FY 2022-23 to FY 2024-25, 66 numbers of
awareness camps were organized in the State of Uttar Pradesh.
(b) and (c): Number of manufacturing micro enterprises assisted in rural and urban areas across the
country and estimated employment generated under PMEGP during the last three years i.e. FY 2022-23
to FY 2024-25 is given below:: 2 :
