In response to Unstarred Question No. 2824, addressed to the Minister of Statistics and Programme Implementation, regarding the status of the MSME survey, it is stated that the National Sample Survey (NSS) under the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) has conducted the Annual Survey of Unincorporated Sector Enterprises (ASUSE 2023-24) from October 2023 to September 2024. This survey covers unincorporated non-agricultural sectors, including manufacturing, trade, and other services. As per the requirements of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), the estimated number of establishments, classified as Micro, Small and Medium at State/UT level and activity category level, has been generated and published in the ASUSE 2023-24 report, which is publicly available on the MoSPI website. (a) whether the Government has initiated any work on the next all-
India survey on Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs)
following the 73rd round National Sample Survey (NSS) on
unincorporated non-agricultural enterprises; and
(b) if so, the details thereof along with the timeline for completion
and release of the next MSME survey and if not, the reasons for
the delay?

(a) and (b): The National Sample Survey (NSS) under the Ministry of
Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) has conducted
Annual Survey of Unincorporated Sector Enterprises (ASUSE 2023-24)
during October, 2023 - September, 2024 to cover the unincorporated
non-agricultural sectors belonging to manufacturing, trade and other
services sectors.
As per requirement of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium
Enterprises (MSME), the estimated number of establishments
classified as Micro, Small and Medium at State/UT level and also for
the activity category level has been generated and published in the
ASUSE 2023-24 report, which is available in public domain at website
of MoSPI.
