SHRI PRAKASH CHIK BARAIK: Will the Minister of HOME AFFAIRS be pleased to state: (a) the number of sanctioned posts, in position and the number of vacancies, including reserved posts across categories in the Ministry of Home Affairs; (b) the details of the number of vacancies in the Ministry and Department, including reserved posts since 2021, year-wise and category-wise; and (c) the details of the number of contractual employees hired since 2021, year- wise and category-wise? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF HOME AFFAIRS (SHRI BANDI SANJAY KUMAR) (a) & (b): Department of Personnel and Training being the nodal department and cadre controlling authority in respect of Group A, B and C posts under Central Government maintains the data on the number of sanctioned posts, in position and number of vacancies including reserved posts across categories including Ministry of Home Affairs.
