Will the Minister of MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES be pleased to state:
(a) the number of sanctioned posts, in position and the number of vacancies, including
reserved posts across categories at the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises
(MSMEs);
(b) the number of vacancies in the Ministry and its Departments, including for reserved
posts since 2014, year-wise and category-wise; and
(c) the number of contractual employees hired since 2014, year and category-wise?

(a) & (b): There are 174 sanctioned posts in Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium
Enterprises (MSME) (proper) and 2755 sanctioned posts in Office of Development
Commissioner (MSME), an attached office of Ministry of MSME. Details of the number of
posts in-position and the number of vacancies, including reserved posts since 2014, year-
wise and category wise are given at Annexure-II and I.
(c): Contractual employees in the Ministry (proper) and Office of Development
Commissioner (MSME) are outsourced as per requirement from time to timethrough
tendering processincluding Government e-Marketplace (GeM). The category-wise
reservation is not applicable to such contractual employees andthe Ministry does not
maintain data of such outsourced contractual employees.
