The Canal system was also silted up at many places which is causing obstruction to free flow of water because of which the required discharge could not be maintained and with a great difficulty water was supplied to the ayacut during the Khariff -2011. The Superintending Engineer, T.T.P.R Circle, Vizianagaram has submitted the Estimates for Rs. 86.005 Lakhs for Improvements to Vegavathi Anicut system, Improvements to Right Main Canal and Construction of parapet wall from 96.25 M to 500 M on Earth dam and approach road from KESALI to NOF Dam of spillway of Peddagedda Reservoir Project. 2 Government after careful examination hereby accord administrative sanction for an amount of Rs.86.005 Lakhs (Eighty Six Lakhs and Five hundred only) for the following 3 works of Peddagedda Reservoir Project, subject to restricting the current year expenditure to Budget Provision.
