From the Chief Engineer, G.L.I.S., Warangal, Lr.No.CE/GLIS/WGL/DCE/OT1/ TS3/F.No.145/Camp.No.208&209, dt.4-12-2009 and dt:27.09.2011. >><< ORDER: In the references 2nd and 3rd read above, the Chief Engineer, G.L.I.S. has submitted that J.Chokka Rao Devadula Lift Irrigation Scheme contemplates lifting of 36.18 TMC of Water from EL + 70.00 M to EL + 540.00 M from River Godavari near Gangaram village to irrigate 6.21 Lakh acres in upland drought prone areas of Karimnagar, Warangal and Nalgonda Districts. The Scheme was proposed to be taken in a phased manner. Further the Phase–I works were taken up in order to create an ayacut of 1.23 Lakh acres under Dharmasagar tank in J. Chokka Rao Devadula Lift Irrigation Scheme, Packages 45 and 46. The Government in Memo No.9289/Maj.Irr.IV.1/07, Dt. 30.04.2007 issued orders to change the duty from 220 Ac/Cusec to 150 Ac/Cusec, in respect of the works pertaining to Distributory system under Package 45 and North Main Canal and Distributory system under Package 46 of Phase-I of JCRDLIS. This resulted is change in scope of work in the agreement due to increased discharge under these Packages resulting in additional work contingent upon the main work but outside the scope of work. The proposal of additional works beyond the scope of agreement in the Package-45 & Package-46 of JCR DLIS Phase-I together with financial implications due to change in duty from 220 acres/cusec to 150 acres/cusec for J. Chokka Rao Devadula Lift Irrigation Scheme Phase-I, Packages 45 & 46, Warangal was referred to the State Level Standing Committee. 2. The State Level Standing Committee after examining the proposal of additional work and the financial implication therein due to change in duty from 220 Acres/cusec to 150 Acres/cusec for works of Package 45 & 46 of JCR Devadula Lift Irrigation Scheme, Warangal have agreed with the proposal of the Chief Engineer, as per the orders of the Government vide Memo No.9289/Maj.Irr.IV-1/07, Dt. 30.04.2007 and recommended for additional work with an estimated amount of Rs.1130.47 lakhs & Rs.1876.62 lakhs in both the Packages respectively in accordance with the Codal provision under clause 63 of PS to APSS(Revised). The Government, after careful examination of the proposal and duly taking into account the recommendations of the State Level Standing Committee, hereby accord permission to the Chief Engineer, G.L.I.S., Warangal for the additional cost of Rs.1130.47 lakhs and Rs.1876.62 lakhs in respect of Packages 45 & 46 of J.Chokka Rao Devadula Lift Irrigation Scheme, Phase-I, Warangal due to change in duty from 220 acres/cusec to 150 acres/cusec as per the orders of the Government vide Memo.No.9289/Maj.Irr.IV.1/07, dated:30.04.2007 to the existing agency executing the works of Packages-45 & 46. Before making actual payment, Chief Engineer, JCR GLIS will verify the calculations, rates, quantities duly taking into account tender discount if any. 4. The Chief Engineer, G.L.I.S., Warangal shall take necessary action accordingly. 5. This order is issued with the concurrence of Finance Department vide their U.O.No’s.4838 & 4839/F4(1)/2009-1, dated:24.12.2009.
