Read the following: 1. G.O.Rt.No.822, I&CAD (PW.VII.1) Deptt., dt.2.12.2010. 2. From the CE/NC/VSP/DEE3/AEE3/BRRVDP/Stage-1/ Vol.II, dated 13.2.2012. <<<>> O R D E R: In the reference 1st read above, the Government have accorded administrative approval for Rs.164.30 Lakhs for the work “Restoration of damaged Jeddy Stone Apron and Cement Concrete Blocks on d/s of Gotta Barrage on Vamsadhara River. 2 In the reference 2nd read above, the Chief Engineer, North Coast, Visakhapatnam has submitted that the Engineer-in-Chief (Irrigation), Hyderabad and the Chief Engineer, Central Designs Organization, Hyderabad have inspected the D/s protection works of Gotta Barrage, B.R.R. Vamsadhara Project, Srikakulam on 20.12.2011 and the inspection report is suggested certain emergency & permanent measures for restoration of damages occurred on downstream of barrage and for safety of the Barrage. 3. Based on the recommendations of the inspection report dated 20.12.2011, the drawing pertaining to the “Emergency Protection measures proposed for the damaged portion on the D/s of apron of Gotta Barrage” was communicated by the Chief Engineer, Central Designs Organization, Hyderabad. Now, the cost proposals for taking up the emergency measures for restoration of damages occurred on downstream of barrage is prepared duly adopting current SSR 2011- 12 is arrived at Rs. 348.00 Lakhs. 4. The Chief Engineer has further submitted that the Government have accorded administrative approval G.O. Ms. No. 822, dated 02-12-2010 for Rs. 164.30 Lakhs to take up the work of “restoration of damaged jeddy stone apron & C.C. Blocks on d/s of Gotta Barrage on Vamsadhara River” based on the recommendation of the Dam Safety Works Committee in the meeting held on 17.05.2010 and 21.05.2010. Tenders were floated for taking up the above work on ‘e procurement’ platform and there is no response for all the three calls made and hence the said work was not executed. Subsequently, the emergency measures recommendations of D/s protection works of Gotta Barrage of inspection report of Engineer-in-Chief (Irrigation), Hyderabad & the Chief Engineer, Central Designs Organization, Hyderabad Dt. 20.12.2011 was received. The Chief Engineer, North Coast, Visakhapatnam has therefore requested to accord administrative approval of Rs.348.00 Lakhs for the proposed work of “Emergency Protection measures proposed for the damaged portion on the D/s of Gotta Barrage” in lieu of the administratively approved work of “restoration of damaged jeddy stone apron & C.C. Blocks on d/s of Gotta Barrage on Vamsadhara River”. 6. Government after careful examination hereby accord sanction for an amount of Rs.348.00 Lakhs (Three hundred Forty Eight Lakhs only) for the proposed work of “Emergency Protection measures proposed for the damaged portion on the D/s of Gotta Barrage” duly cancelling the G.O.Rt.No.822, I&CAD (PW.VII.1) Deptt., dated 2.12.2010 wherein the administrative approval for resoration of damages Jeddy stone apron &CC blocks on d/s of Gotta Barrage on Vamsadhara River for Rs.164.30 Lakhs was accorded. 7. The expenditure sanctioned at para ( 6 ) above shall be debited to the Head of Account “ MH 4700-01-106-VDP-STAGE-I-GH(11)-NSP-SH-26-D&A- 530/531 O.E. 8. The Chief Engineer, North Coast, Visakhapatnam shall take necessary action accordingly. 9. This order issues with the concurrence of the Finance (W&P) Department vide their U.O.No.723/F7/A1/2012-1, dated 7.3.2012.
