From the District Panchayat Officer, Karimnagar , Lr.No.A6/4632/2008- Pts,dt.6.6.2011. >>><<< ORDER: In the references 1st read above, the District Collector, (PW), Karimnagar District has suspended Sri E. Venkateshwarlu Suglampalli Gram Panchayat, Sulthanabad Mandal, Karimnagar District, u/s 249(6) of Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1994 from the post of Sarpanch,for (3) months for misappropriation of Gram Panchayat funds. 2 Aggrieved by the said orders, in the reference 2nd read above, Sri E. Venkateshwarlu, Sarpanch (U/s), Suglampalli Gram Panchayat and Mandal, Karimnagar District has filed an Applel Petition before the Government and requested to stay the orders issued vide reference 1st read above. 3. In the reference 3rd read above, the Government while suspending orders of the proceedings of the District Collector (PW), Karimnagar District has requested to furnish his report in the matter. 4. In the reference 4th read above, in the WP No. 23009 of 2009 dt. 24.11.2009 filed by the petitioner , the Counsel for the petitioner has withdrawn the Writ petition . Accordingly the Writ Petition was dismissed as withdrawn. 5. In the reference 5th read above, the District Panchayat Officer, Karimnagar has submitted that orders were issued to Sri. E. Venkateshwarlu, Sarpanch (u/s) to continue as Sarpanch. The DPO also informed that after adjusting an amount of Rs. 1,00,000/- from the misappropriation amount still there is an amount of Rs. 1,52,341/- is remained as misappropriation. 6. The case heard on 04.02.2012. The Divisional Panchayat Officer, Karimnagar appeared in this case. The Sarpanch who has filed this appeal has not appeared. on the previous occasion of hearing i.e. on 26.11.2011 , he was also absent . He was given the last chance to appear on 4.2.2012. Since he is absent i.e on 04-02-2012 it indicates he has nothing to represent and the appeal is dismissed. Pto.,//2// 7. The District Panchayat Officer, Karimnagar submitted a brief note that the petitioner has not submitted any explanation, or records and receipts for the misappropriation of the Gram Panchayat funds to the tune of Rs.2,12,144/-. 8. Government, after careful examination of the case and going through the material available on records , there is no valid reasons to consider the appeal of the Sarpanch against the orders of the District Collector (PW) , Karimnagar and hereby dismiss appeal petition filed by Sri E. Venkateshwarlu, Sarpanch, Suglampalli Gram Panchayat, Suglampalli Mandal, Karimnagar District and the proceedings dated. 13.10.2009 of the District Collector (PW), Karimnagar is confirmed. 9. The District Collector (PW), Karimnagar District shall take necessary action accordingly.
