ORDER:
The Hon’ble Prl. Spl. Judge for SPE & ACB cases, Hyderabad in their judgment
dt. 11.10.2004 in C.C.No.21/1993 found that the A.O. Sri T. Papa Rao, former Asst.
Engineer, Panchayat Raj, Adilabad District, guilty of the charges framed against him, on
the allegations of corruption and convicted and sentenced. Aggrieved by the conviction
and sentence, the A.O. Sri T. Papa Rao, former Asst. Engineer, Panchayat Raj, filed
Criminal Appeal No.2281/2004 in the Hon’ble High Court. The Hon’ble High Court
suspended the sentence alone by its order dt. 01.11.2004 in Crl. M.P.No.6496/2004.
2. After examining the matter, in the reference 1st read above, orders were issued
dismissing Sri T. Papa Rao, Assistant Engineer, Panchayat Raj, on the ground of his
conviction in C.C.No.21/1993 by the Prl. Spl. Judge for S.P.E. & A.C.B. Cases,
Hyderabad, on the allegations of corruption.
3. In the reference 2nd read above, the individual Sri T. Papa Rao, Asst. Engineer,
Panchayat Raj (dismissed from service) has stated that the Hon’ble High Court of A.P. in
its Judgement dt. 29.07.2011 in Criminal Appeal No.2281/2004 has acquitted him
setting aside the convictions and the sentences passed by the lower court against him.
The individual has, therefore, requested to reinstate him into service in view of the
above orders of the Hon’ble High Court.
4. Government, after careful examination of the matter in detail, hereby decided to
implement the orders of the Hon’ble High Court and accordingly, reinstate Sri T. Papa
Rao, formerly Assistant Engineer, Panchayat Raj, into service with immediate effect, duly
revoking the dismissal orders issued in the reference 1st read above.
5. The Engineer-in-Chief, Panchayat Raj, Hyderabad shall take further necessary
action accordingly.
