U.O.Note No.23/COI.R/2012, General Administration (COI.R) Dept., dt. 04.02.2012. <<>> O R D E R: In the G.O.2nd read above, orders were issued appointing Sri Dr. Subhrendu Bhattacharya, IAS, Commissioner of Inquiries, General Administration Department, as Enquiry Officer under Rule 20 (2) of Andhra Pradesh Civil Service (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1991, to conduct departmental enquiry into charges framed against Sri D.V. Ramachandra Raju, the then Executive Engineer, PR (RWS) Division, Podili, and (7) others, on the irregularities in execution of Dupadu Project (Water Supply Scheme) in Prakasam District. The Chief Engineer, V&QC, RWS&S, Hyderabad was also appointed as Presenting Officer to preset the case before the E.O. on behalf of the Government. 2. In the U.O.Note 3rd read above, the G.A. (COI-R) Dept. has informed that consequent on the retirement of Dr. Subhrendu Bhattacharya, IAS, COI on 31.12.2011, it has been decided to re-assign the pending cases to Sri Jitender, IPS, COI, GAD. The G.A.(COI.R) Dept. have, therefore, requested to issue revised orders reassigning the case against Sri D.V. Ramachandra Raju, the then Executive Engineer, PR (RWS) Division, Podili, and (7) others, to Sri Jitender, IPS, COI, GAD. 3. Accordingly, in modification of the orders issued in the G.O.2nd read above, Government hereby appoint Sri Jitender, Commissioner of Inquiries, General Administration (COI) Department, as Enquiry Officer under Rule 20 (2) of Andhra Pradesh Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1991 in place of Dr. Subhrendu Bhattacharya, IAS, COI (Retd.). He is requested to take up the inquiry from where it was leftover and also obtain the records etc., from the General Administration (COI-JR) Department. 4. The Chief Engineer, V&QC, RWS&S, Hyderabad, who was appointed as Presenting Officer, in the G.O.2nd read above, shall continue to be the Presenting Officer to present the case before the Enquiry Officer on behalf of the Government.
