G.O. Ms No.171, PR&RD (RD.II) Dept Dt.29.05.2009 2. G.O. Rt No.189 PR&RD(RDII) Dept Dt.16.2.2010 3. G.O. Rt No.440 PR&RD(RDII) Dept Dt.26.3.2011 ***** ORDER Government have issued orders in the reference 2nd read above to create a state level Cell in the office of Commissioner RD and a district level Cell in the offices of Project Directors, DWMA for taking follow up action on social audit reports. 2. In order to monitor the follow up action on the social audits, Government have appointed Smt. J. Sudha Rani, IAS-91 (Retd) to work as Chief Vigilance Officer NREGA on contract basis in the reference 2 cited above. Her tenure had been further extended till 28.1.2012 vide reference 3 cited. Accordingly, she had completed her tenure on 28.1.2012 and has been requested to continue till a suitable substitute has been posted. 3. On completion of the tenure of Smt. Sudha Rani, Government hereby appoint Dr P. Krishnaiah IAS-87 (Retd) as the Chief Vigilance Officer of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) for a period of two years from the date of assumption of charge. He will discharge the following responsibilities: i) Ensure prompt and effective follow up action on the Social Audit reports communicated by the Director, SSAAT; ii) Supervise the District Vigilance Cells constituted so as to ensure expeditious disposal of the disciplinary cases arising out of social audit observations and quality control findings. iii) Conduct or cause to conduct expeditious enquiry into complaints on MGNREGS implementation received from various channels viz. letters, Media, reports, call centre complaints, references of the CRD, Principal Secretary (RD) etc. iv) Suo-moto inspection of NREGA works and enquiry into irregularities. For this purpose, CVO can requisition any recordfrom the offices of the CRD, PDs DWMA, MPDOs and other implementing agencies. v) Coordinate with the District Collectors, PDs DWMA, Head of Departments, CPMG regarding vigilance cases & Social Audit reports. 4. Dr P. Krishnaiah will draw emoluments equal to the difference between the last drawn pay and the pension. He shall also be eligible for official transport, telephone and such other facilities required for discharging his responsibilities. The cost of engaging his services shall be met from the administrative charges earned on the programme implementation. 5.
