O R D E R:
Orders were issued appointing Smt. Chandana Khan, IAS, Commissioner of Inquiries,
General Administration Department as Enquiry Officer under Rule 20 (2) of Andhra Pradesh
Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1991 and Sri PVK Varma, Inspector
of Police, ACB as Presenting Officer under Rule 20(5)(c) of Andhra Pradesh Civil Services
(Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1991 to conduct departmental enquiry against
Sri D.V.Satyanarayana, former Deputy Executive Engineer, Panchayat Raj, Narsipatnam,
Visakhapatnam District (now dismissed from service) on the allegations of corruption,
misappropriation, forgery and falsification of records etc. vide G.O. 1st read above.
Subsequently the case was reassigned to Dr. Subhrendu Bhattacharya, IAS, Commissioner of
Inquiries, General Administration Department vide G.O. 2nd read above and consequent on
the transfer of Sri PVK Varma, Inspector of Police, Anti Corruption Bureau, Smt. K. Sridevi,
Advocate has been appointed as Presenting Officer in this case in place of Sri PVK Varma,
Inspector of Police, vide G.O. 3rd read above.
2. The General Administration (COI-R) Department informed that Dr.Subhrendu
Bhattacharya, IAS , COI retired from service on attaining the age of Superannuation on
31.12.2011 and stated that in the instant case, hitherto dealt with by Dr.Subhrendu
Bhattacharya, IAS , former Member of Commissioner of Inquiries, was re-assigned to Sri
Jitender, IPS, Commissioner of Inquiries, General Administration Department as Inquiring
Authority, in place of Dr.Subhrendu Bhattacharya, IAS , former Member of Commissioner of
Inquiries and requested to issue orders for taking further action, in the matter vide 4th read
above.
3. Accordingly, the Government hereby appoints Sri Jitender, IPS, Commissioner of
Inquiries, General Administration Department, as Inquiry Officer, under Rule.20 (2) of
Andhra Pradesh Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1991, in place of
Dr. Subhrendu Bhattacharya, IAS, former Member of Commissioner of Inquiries, General
Administration Department. He is requested to take up the inquiry from where it was left
over and obtain the records etc. from the General Administration (Commissioner of
Inquiries-SB) Department.

4. Smt K. Sridevi , Advocate who was appointed as Presenting Officer, in the G.O.3rd
read above, shall continue to be the Presenting Officer to present the case before the
Inquiry Officer on behalf of the Government.
