ORDER:- In the reference read above, the Special Officer and Engineer-in-Chief, Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Department, Hyderabad, has informed that, during the State Level Schemes Sanctioning Committee (SLSSC) meeting held on 14.2.2012 has agreed to constitute the STA to clear certain works under NRDWP, the Committee has agreed to constitute the State Technical Agency (STA) to scrutinise and clear the sources of new proposals before recommending to SLSSC. Therefore, he has requested the Government, to issue suitable orders constituting the State Technical Agency (STA), so as to refer the new proposals of works for scrutiny and clear the sources for guiding the implementing agency in finalisation of new proposals and sources in critical areas for scheme sustainability before recommending to the SLSSC. 2. Government after consideration, hereby constitute the State Technical Agency (STA) as per guidelines of the National Rural Drinking Water Programme (NRDWP) (a Modified Programme of ARWSP). The State Technical Agency (STA) at the State Level will be in place with the following members so as to refer the new proposals of works for scrutiny and clear the sources for guiding the implementing agency in finalisation of new proposals and sources in critical areas for scheme sustainability before recommending to the SLSSC: SL.No Member As proposed 01 Chairman Project Director, State Water Sanitation Mission / Chief Engineer, RWS&S 02 Co-Chairman Representative of CGWB 03 Member Central Water Commission 04 Member State Ground Water Department 05 Member Irrigation Department 06 Member NGRI 3. The SO&ENC, RWS&S, shall place all the proposals with all information sought for by State Technical Agency (STA) for sanction to SLSSC, only after taking clearance from State Technical Agency. 4. The Chairman, State Technical Agency (STA) shall conduct the meetings frequently to ensure that the projects are not unduly delayed. 5. The Special Officer and Engineer-in-Chief or his nominee shall be a special invitee to the meetings of State Technical Agency (STA) and shall provide all administrative support required for the conduct of its duties.
