The Phase-I of Census 2027, namely the House Listing Operations (HLO), has been
successfully completed in the State of Goa from 16 April 2026 to 15 May 2026. The
operation was conducted efficiently across the State using a dedicated mobile
application-based digital platform, marking a significant step towards technology-
driven census operations.
The House Listing Operations covered comprehensive enumeration of houses,
households, and associated amenities in both urban and rural areas of Goa.
Enumerators and supervisors carried out the exercise with dedication and
professionalism, ensuring timely completion of the operation. Extensive training
programmes were organized prior to commencement of the exercise to familiarize
field staff with the digital application and operational procedures.
The successful implementation of the mobile app-based HLO reflects the
Government’s commitment towards modernizing census processes through digital
technology, transparency, and efficient data management systems.
