RESOLUTION
New Delhi, the 25th May, 2015
No. 47-31/2012-DM-III.—In continution of the Resolution dated 26th February, 5th April, 2013 and 17th March,
2015, constituting a multi-stakeholder National Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction (NPDRR), it has been decided to
replace the existing entry under Sl. No. 5 (a) and (c) of the said Resolution, due to the adoption of Sendai Framework for
Disaster Risk Reduction (SFDRR) by the World Conference on DRR for the period 2015–30 and making the tenure of the
NPDRR co-terminus with it as under :
5(a) Tenure
The tenure of platform shall be 15 years with effect from the date of Notification of this Resolution
[In place of the tenure of platform shall be 5 years with effect from the date of Notification of this Resolution]
(c) Meeting
The platform shall meet once in three years.
[In place of the platform shall meet at least once every year and there shall not be a gap of more than two years
between two consecutive meetings of the platform]
The Resolution dated 26th February, 2013 stands amended to the above extent. All other contents remain the
same.
