Ministry of Home Affairs Towards a Greener Tomorrow: GC CRPF Pune launches a monsoon-long plantation campaign प्रव तथ: 05 JUN 2026 9:34PM by PIB Mumbai Pune, 5 June 2026 World Environment Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and fervour at Group Centre, CRPF, Pune on 05 June 2026. Marking the occasion, a massive plantation drive was launched within the campus, which will continue throughout the monsoon season as part of the Centre's commitment towards environmental conservation and sustainable development. The plantation drive witnessed enthusiastic participation from Officers, Subordinate Officers, Jawans, and their family members. A large number of saplings of various indigenous and environment-friendly species were planted across the campus with the objective of enhancing green cover and promoting ecological balance. Addressing the gathering, Shri Vaibhav Nimbalkar, IPS, DIG, Group Centre, CRPF, Pune, emphasized the importance of environmental protection and urged all personnel and their family members to contribute actively towards preserving nature. He highlighted that tree plantation is not merely a symbolic activity but a long-term commitment towards ensuring a healthier and greener future for coming generations.
