NOTIFICATION U/S 8 OF UAPA, 1967
S.O. 4585(E).—Whereas, the Government of India, in exercise of powers conferred by section 3
(1) of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 (37 of 1967), has declared the Popular Front of India
(PFI) and its associates or affiliates or fronts, including Rehab India Foundation (RFI), Campus Front of
India (CFI), All India Imams Council (AIIC), National Confederation of Human Rights Organization
(NCHRO), National Women's Front, Junior Front, Empower India Foundation and Rehab Foundation,
Kerala as unlawful association vide notification number S.O. No. 4559(E) dated 27th September, 2022.
And whereas, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 42 of the said Act , the Central
Government has directed vide Notification No. S.O. 4560 (E) dated 28th September, 2022 that all the States
and Union Territory Administrations shall exercise the powers exercisable by the Central Government
under sections 7 and section 8 of the said Act in relation to the above said unlawful association.
And whereas, vide Order No. F. No. 14017/04/2022-NI-MFO dated 28th September, 2022, it has
been conveyed that the State Governments and Union Territory Administrations may, by order in writing ,
direct that any power which has been directed to be exercised by it, shall, in such circumstances and under
such conditions, as may be specified in the direction, be exercised by any person subordinate to the State
Government and Union Territory Administration.
And whereas, vide order No. F. No. 8/Misc./2022/HP-II/2067 dated 28.09.2022, it has been
conveyed that Hon’ble Lt. Governor, Delhi has directed that Commissioner of Police, Delhi shall exercise
the powers delegated to him by Central Govt. vide Notification No. S.O. 4560 (E) dated 28th September,
2022.
Now therefore, I, Sanjay Arora, Commissioner of Police, Delhi, in exercise of Powers delegated
to me by order No. F.No. 8/Misc./2022/HP-II/2067 dated 28.09.2022, hereby declare and notify that the
following addresses situated in South East District, Delhi are being used for the purpose of carrying out[भाग II—खण् ड 3(ii)] भारत का रािपत्र : असाधारण 3
activities of ‘Popular Front of India’ (PFI) and its associates or affiliates, which have been declared as
Unlawful Association by the Central Government vide notification No. S.O. No. 4559 (E) dated
