The event was attended by Director General, SSB, Shri Sanjay Singhal, senior MHA officers, personnel of the Force and their family members. Improving residential facilities for personnel of the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and enhancing Housing Satisfaction Ratio are among the priorities of the Modi Government. In SSB, construction of 10,029 residential units has been completed so far, while construction of 1,273 additional units is currently in progress. In his address, Minister of State for Home Affairs said that these accommodations are not merely buildings, but a symbol of the Government of India’s commitment to the welfare of SSB personnel and their families, who remain dedicated to the service and security of the nation. During the year 2025-26, SSB rescued 661 victims of human trafficking and apprehended 6,324 persons involved in illegal activities. In view of the changing security environment, SSB is continuously strengthening technology-enabled, intelligence - driven and mission - oriented border management. Modern technologies such as drones, CCTV systems, thermal imagers, night-vision equipment, GPS-based patrolling, secure digital communication systems and GIS-based planning are being utilized to enhance operational effectiveness.
