NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 31st December, 2018
S.O. 6397(E).—Whereas, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 11 of the National
Investigation Act, 2008 (34 of 2008) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government had, vide
notification number S.O. 2146 (E) dated the 1st September, 2010, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II,
section 3, sub-section (ii), notified the Court of District and Sessions Judge, Dimapur, as the Special Court for the
purposes of sub-section (1) of section 11 of the said Act having jurisdiction throughout the State of Nagaland for the trial
of Scheduled Offences;
And whereas, Shri Neiko Kano, Principal District and Sessions Judge, Dimapur, who was appointed as the
Judge to preside over the said Special Court vide notification number S.O. 2349 (E) dated the 8th June, 2018, published in
the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, section 3, sub-section (ii), has been transferred;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 11 of the National
Investigation Act, 2008 (34 of 2008) and in supersession of the notification number S.O. 2349 (E) dated the 8th June,
2018, except in respect of things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the Central Government, on the
recommendation of the Hon’ble Chief Justice, The Gauhati High Court at Guwahati, hereby appoints
Smti. Y. Longkumer, Principal District and Sessions Judge, Dimapur, as the Judge to preside over the said Special Court.
