New Delhi, the 2nd February, 2017
S.O. 339(E).—Whereas in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 11 of the
National Investigation Agency Act, 2008 (34 of 2008) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central
Government had, vide notification number S.O. 78 (E) dated the 31st December, 2012, published in the
Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), dated the 7th January, 2013, notified the
Court of XLIX Additional City Civil & Sessions Judge, Bengaluru City as the Special Court for the purposes
of sub-section (1) of section 11 of the said Act having jurisdiction throughout the State of Karnataka for the
trial of Scheduled Offences;
And whereas, Shri Muralidhar Pai B., XXXVIII Additional City Civil and Sessions Judge, Bengaluru
City, who was appointed as the Judge to preside over the said Special Court vide notification number
S.O. 2837 (E) dated the 15th October, 2015, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section
3, Sub-section (ii), dated the 15th October, 2015, has been transferred;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by Sub-section (3) of Section 11 of the said Act
and in supersession of the notification number S.O. 2837 (E) dated the 15th October, 2015, except as respects
things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the Central Government, on the recommendation
of the Hon’ble Chief Justice of the High Court of Karnataka, hereby appoints Shri Mahavarkar Gulzarlal,
XLIX Addl. City Civil and Sessions Judge, Bengaluru City, as the Judge to preside over the said Special
Court.
