ORDER: In the circumstances stated by the Director General of Police, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad in the letter 5th read above and after careful examination of the matter, the Government have decided to issue Amendments to the Andhra Pradesh Police (Civil Police) Subordinate Service Rules issued in G.O.Ms.No.374 of Home (Pol.C) Department, dtd.14.12.1999. 2. Accordingly, the following Notification will be published in an Extraordinary issue of the Andhra Pradesh Gazette, dated: 07.04.2012. NOTIFICATION In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 8 and 10 of the Andhra Pradesh (Andhra Area) District Police Act, 1859 (Central Act XXIV) of 1859, and sections 6 and 10 of the Andhra Pradesh (Telangana Area) District Police Act,(Hyderabad Act X of 1329 F) and section 5 read with sections 6, 7 and 12 of the Hyderabad City Police Act, 1348F (Hyderabad, Act IX of 1348 F) read with the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution of India and of all other powers hereunto enabling, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby makes the following amendments to the Andhra Police (Civil Police) Sub- Ordinate Service Rules, issued in G.O.Ms.No.374, Home (Pol.C) Department, dt:14.12.1999 published in part No.17 Andhra Pradesh Gazette dated:27.4.2000 at pages 601-604 and as subsequently amended from time to time. AMENDMENTS In the said rules, for clause (iv) of Rule 10, the following shall be substituted, namely: “ (iv) Head Constables of category-3 of class-A and category-2 of class-B and Assistant Sub Inspector of Category-2 of Class-A selected for promotion for the post of Sub Inspectors in the departmental qualifying examinations prescribed for such promotion, shall undergo a 4 ½ months pre-promotion Training course in the Police Training College / Police Training Institutions or Andhra Pradesh Police Academy for such period and as per such programme and syllabus as may be prescribed by the Director General & Inspector General of Police from time to time. At the end of the training course they should pass the indoor and outdoor tests for inclusion in-2- ‘C’ list according to their seniority in Range/ Hyderabad city.
