GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF MINORITY AFFAIRS RAJYA SABHA UNSTARRED QUESTION NO. 295 ANSWERED ON 02.02.2026 GRANTS FOR START-UPS AND MICRO-ENTERPRISES IN ODISHA 295. SHRI NIRANJAN BISHI: Will the Minister of MINORITY AFFAIRS be pleased to state: (a) whether Government proposes special grants for Start-Ups and Micro-Enterprises run by minority women in the State of Odisha; and (b) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF MINORITY AFFAIRS (SHRI KIREN RIJIJU) (a) & (b): There is no such proposal under consideration in the Ministry of Minority Affairs. However, the National Minorities Development and Finance Corporation (NMDFC), a Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) under the administrative control of the Ministry of Minority Affairs, provides concessional credit to eligible beneficiaries for self-employment and income-generating activities, with the objective of promoting the socio-economic development of backward sections among the notified minority communities. The schemes of NMDFC are implemented through State Channelizing Agencies (SCAs) nominated by the respective State Governments/Union Territory Administrations. *****
