PMJVK PROPOSALS FROM MAHARASHTRA
2675. DR. FAUZIA KHAN:
Will the Minister of MINORITY AFFAIRS be pleased to state:-
(a) whether the proposals submitted by Government of Maharashtra under the Pradhan
Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram (PMJVK) during the 47th Empowered Committee Meeting held
on 23rd June, 2025, have been approved;
(b) if so, the details thereof, including the number of projects approved and their respective
locations;
(c) if not, the reasons for the delay in approval and the expected timeline for the same; and
(d) the steps being taken to ensure timely implementation of these projects, including
monitoring mechanisms and accountability measures?

(a) & (b): Yes, Sir. The project proposals submitted by the Government of Maharashtra
were placed before the 47th and 48th Empowered Committee meetings held on 23.06.2025
and 09.07.2025, respectively. The Ministry has approved the following projects for the State:

(c) : Does not arise.
(d) : Under PMJVK, the execution, operation and maintenance of approved projects are the
responsibility of the respective State Governments/Union Territory Administrations. The
Ministry monitors the progress of projects through periodic review meetings with States/UTs
to assess both physical and financial progress. In addition, national workshops are organized
to facilitate effective implementation and timely completion of projects. States/UTs are also
advised to expedite implementation, drop non-viable projects where necessary, and utilize the
available funds for completion of ongoing sanctioned projects under PMJVK.
