Parliament Question: Under-utilisation of the funds allocated under PM VIKAS scheme

GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF MINORITY AFFAIRS RAJYA SABHA UNSTARRED QUESTION NO. 4103 ANSWERED ON 30.03.2026 UNDER-UTILISATION OF THE FUNDS ALLOCATED UNDER PM VIKAS SCHEME 4103: SHRI PRAKASH CHIK BARAIK: SHRI SAMIRUL ISLAM: Will the Minister of Minority Affairs be pleased to state: (a) the Budget Estimates and Revised Estimates for the PM VIKAS scheme for FY 2024- 25; and (b) the actual expenditure for the PM VIKAS scheme for FY 2024-25? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF MINORITY AFFAIRS (SHRI KIREN RIJIJU) (a) to (b): The Ministry of Minority Affairs implements Pradhan Mantri Virasat Ka Samvardhan (PM VIKAS) scheme as a Central Sector Scheme focusing on socio-economic empowerment of six notified minorities through skill development; entrepreneurship and leadership development of minority women; and education support of school dropouts. The scheme was rolled out in January, 2025 by converging erstwhile skilling and education support initiatives of the Ministry.
