HOME (SERVICES-I) DEPARTMENT G.O.Rt.No. 220 Dated: 16/02/2012 Read the following:- 1. G.O.Rt.No.391, Home (Ser.I) Department, dated 12.2.2009. 2. From the General Administration (COI.R) Department, U.O.Note No.23/COI-R/2012, dated 4.2.2012. o-o-o ORDER: In the G.O. 1st read above, Dr. Subhrendu Bhattacharya, IAS, COI, was appointed as Inquiry Authority to inquire into the charges framed against Sri G.C.Reddaiah, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Retired) and (3) others. Sri M.Vara Prasada Rao, Advocate was also appointed as Presenting Officer, to present the said case before the Inquiring Authority. 2. The General Administration (COI-R) Department, in the reference 2nd read above, has informed that Dr. Subhrendu Bhattacharya, IAS, COI was retired from service on attaining age of superannuation on 31.12.2011 and requested the Department to take action to re-assign the disciplinary case of Sri G.C.Reddaiah, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Retired) and (3) others to Sri Jitender, IPS, Commissioner of Inquiries. 3. Accordingly, Government hereby appoint Sri Jitender, IPS, COI, as Inquiring Authority in place of Dr. Subhrendu Bhattacharya, IAS, COI, in terms of sub-rule-2 read with sub-rule (5)(b) of Rule-20 of APCS (CC&A) Rules, 1991, and Sri M.Vara Prasada Rao, Advocate, shall continue to be the Presenting Officer in this case. 4. Sri Jitender, IPS, COI is requested to conduct the oral enquiry as per rule-20 of A.P.C.S. (CC&A) Rules, 1991. He is further informed that the Hon’ble Tribunal in its interim orders dated 24.9.2009 in O.A. No.5989/2009 stayed the departmental proceedings until further orders in respect of Sri G.C.Reddaiah, D.S.P. (Retired). 5. The General Administration (COI.SB) Department is requested to take further necessary action to transfer the connected records and material pertaining to the above said enquiry to Sri Jitender, IPS, COI, G.A. (COI.J) Dept., and the Inquiry Authority in the case, immediately.
