The Director General of Police, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad, in his letter 1 read above, has
reported that Sri K. Sangameshwar ASI (now retired) of Cyberabad along with Sri N.Narsi
Reddy PC 2095 of Cyberabad was handed up an OE for the following charge :
“for demanding and accepting of illegal gratification of Rs. 1500/- from one Murali R/o
Jagatgirigutta for replacing the accused person Murali in a Road accident case booked
vide Cr.No. 930/2007 U/s 337 IPC of Kukatpally PS”
2. The Addl CP (traffic) Cyberabad, has conducted the oral Enquiry and held the charges
against the charged officer Sri K. Sangameshwar ASI (now retired) of Cyberabad as proved and
against Sri N.Narsi Reddy PC 2095 of Cyberabad as not proved. . The CP, Cyberabad while
agreeing with the findings of the EO has supplied a copy of the enquiry report to the charged
officer Sri K. Sangameshwar ASI (now retired) of Cyberabad. The charged officer has
approached the APAT in OA.No. 10822/2008 and Hon’ble APAT has issued status quo on
departmental proceedings. Subsequently the applicant withdrawn his OA on 23-2-2010 and
thereafter he has submitted his final explanation denying the allegation. The charged officer has
retired from service on superannuation on 28-2-2010.
3. Government have examined the report of the Enquiry Officer and explanation of the
retired charged officer and accepted the findings of Enquiry Officer holding the charge as
proved. Government have, therefore, provisionally decided to withhold 20% (twenty percent) of
pension of the charged officer for a period of four years, under Rule 9 of A.P. Revised Pension
Rules, 1980, for the charges held proved against him. Accordingly, a show cause notice was
issued to the charged officer vide reference 2nd cited and he has submitted his explanation vide
reference 3rd read above. Government have examined the same and decided to confirm the
provisional decision of withholding of twenty percent pension of the charged officer for a period
of four years and the matter was referred to the A.P. Public Service Commission for its advice.
The A.P. Public Service Commission, in the reference 5th read above (copy enclosed), has agreed
to the proposal of the Government.
4. Therefore, Government hereby order to withhold 20 % (twenty percent) pension of Sri
K. Sangameshwar ASI (now retired) of Cyberabad, for a period of four years. The suspension
period shall be treated as not on duty.

5. The DGP, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad, is requested to take follow up action in the matter
accordingly. The records received through reference 1st read above are herewith returned and the
receipt of the same should be acknowledged.
