Revision petition of Sri G.Muralidhar, SI , formerly of Anantapur District, now working at Traffic PS Tirupathi, Urban, Police District Tirupathi, dt.nil, received through the M(Home) with No.6645/M(Home)/2011, dt.24-2-2011. 2. Govt.Memo.No.5774/Ser.II/A1/2011, dt.11/3/2011 3. From the DGP, AP, Hyd.,Rc.No.803/Appeal-/2011, dt.27 -6-2011. ***** ORDER: In the reference 1st read above, Sri G.Muralidhar, SI formerly of Anatapur District, now working at Traffic PS Tirupathi, Urban, Police District, Tirupathi, has requested the Government, to set aside the modified punishment of “PPI for a period of two years with effect on future increments and pension”, duly treating the suspension period from 21-3-2006 to 19-1-2009 treated as “On Duty”. 2. In the reference 3rd read above, the Director General of Police, AP, Hyderabad, has informed that Sri G Muralidhar, SI of Police, formerly of Anantapur District, now working in Urban Police District, Tirupathi was awarded the punishment of “RTSP by two stages for three years with effect on future increments and pension, besides the period of suspension from 21- 3-2006 to 19-1-2009 was treated as not on duty” by the DIG of Police, Anantapur Range, Anantapur vide procgs dt.1-11-2009 for the following delinquency: “Exhibited gross neglect of duty and reprehensible misconduct by involving himself in a criminal case of illegal possession of a fire arm ie., 9 mm pistol taken from one Sri Kandikunta Venkata Prasad and by keeping it with him in his possession in his quarters at Garladinne, which attract the Provisions of Arms Act and thus conducted himself in a manner unbecoming of a Police Officer.” 3. Further, the Director General of Police, AP, Hyderabad, has informed that the Hon’ble AJFCM, Anantapur, in the judgment of CC No.612/07 in Cr.No.76/06 acquitting the case against the petitioner and others on 13-8-2010. He has also informed that aggrieved by the orders of the DIG of Police, Anantapur Range, Anantapur, the above said SI preferred an appeal petition to the Appellate authority ie., Inspector General of Police, (L&O) Rayalaseema Region, Hyderabad, which was considered, and the punishment of “RTSP by two stages for three years with effect” was modified to that of “PPI for a period of two years with effect on future increments and pension, and suspension period spent by him from 21-3-2006 to 19-1- 2009 treated as not on duty” vide their procgs dt.25-1-2011. Now, the petitioner has submitted a revision petition to the Government. 4. After careful examination of the entire matter, with the records made available, Government have considered the request of Sri G.Muralidhar, SI formerly of Anatapur District, now working at Traffic PS Tirupathi, Urban, Police District Tirupathi, and hereby set aside the modified punishment of “PPI for a period of two years with effect on future increments and pension”, duly treating the suspension period as “On duty”, in respect of the said individual. 5. The original O.E. records, received in the references 3rd read above, are herewith returned to the Director General of Police, A.P., Hyderabad, and he is requested to acknowledge the receipt of the same to Government.
