ORDER:
In the reference 3rd read above, the DGP, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad, has informed that
Sri B. Appalasuri PC 3389 of Hyderabad along with Sri P. Ram Mohan PC 6912 and Sri
Praveenkumar PC 4488, was given a charge for the following delinquency:
“While working at Chilakalguda PS., absented themselves from 7-7-2000 and
completed the desertion period. They were involved in Cr.No. 428/2000 u/s 384 IPC of
Kukatpally PS of RR District for extracting an amount of Rs 30,000 and demanding an
additional amount of Rs. 5000/-”
2. The CP, Hyderabad, after following the procedure prescribed in the APCS (CCA) Rules,
1991, has held the charge of involving in criminal case as not proved, but held the charge of
desertion as proved and imposed the penalty of PPI for two years with effect on the two charged
officers Sri B. Appalasuri PC 3389 and Sri P. Ram Mohan PC 6912 by treating the absence
period from 7-7-2000 to 10-11-2000 and suspension period from 11-11-2000 to 30-10-2002 as
not on duty, in Procgs. No. L&O/B8/NZ/1799/2000) (D.O.No. 2565) dated: 5-8-2009. Since Sri
Praveenkumar PC 4488 has been dismissed in other disciplinary case, no action in this case was
taken. The appeal petition of the charged officer Sri B. Appalasuri PC 3389 of Hyderabad was
considered and rejected by the appellate authority in proceedings dated: 10-2-2011.
3. Aggrieved by the above, the individual has submitted a revision petition to the Government
requesting to set aside the penalty of PPI for two years with effect.
4. Government, after careful examination of the matter, hereby reject the request of Sri B.
Appalasuri PC 3389 of Hyderabad, to set aside the penalty of PPI for two years with effect .
5. The DGP, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad, is requested to take necessary action accordingly
in the matter. The records received in the reference 3rd read above are returned herewith, the
receipt of which should be acknowledged.
