Govt.Memo.No.376/Ser-II/A3/2011, dated: 20-1-2011. 3. From the DGP, AP, Hyderabad, Lr.Rc.No.580/ Appeal-1/ 2011, dated: 2.7.2011. ****** ORDER: In the reference 3rd read above, the DGP, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad, has informed that Sri P. Vishnuvardhan Reddy PC 1308 of AR, Medak along with Sri N. Srinivas Rao, ARPC 1439 was dealt with on a P.Roll for the following delinquency: “Gross neglect of duty in consuming alcohol while on duty in Pinki Dhaba at Pothi Reddy Pally. Later the driver ARPC 1439 in order to drop the driver 1308 (who attached to CIP, Sangareddy, on the way ARPC 1439 drove the jeep No. AP 9 P 1277 in rash and negligent manner at High speed and dashed to the tree which resulted in the jeep to turn turtle. Due to which both the AR driver PCs 1439 and 1308 sustained injuries and damaged jeep for about Rs. 15000/ thus they violated conduct rules. “ 2. The SP, Medak District, after following the procedure prescribed in the APCS (CC&A) Rules, 1991, has held the charge as proved and imposed the penalty of “PPI for one year with effect on PC 1439 and PPI for one year without effect on the PC 1308 (applicant) treating their suspension period as not on duty in his Procgs.D.O.No. 2072/2007, Rc.No.A9/PR/14/98, dated: 31-8-2000. The appeal petition of the applicant was considered and the penalty was modified to that of censure by the appellate authority in proceedings dated: 28-12-2003. The revision petition of the charged officer was considered and rejected by the revisional authority in his proceedings dated: 28-1-2005 3. Aggrieved by the above, the individual has submitted a petition to the Government requesting to set aside the penalty of censure. 4. Government, after careful examination of the matter, hereby reject the request of Sri P. Vishnuvardhan Reddy PC 1308 of AR, Medak, to set aside the penalty of censure. 5. The DGP, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad, is requested to take necessary action accordingly in the matter. The records received in the reference 3rd read above are returned herewith, the receipt of which should be acknowledged.
