ORDER:
In the reference 3rd read above, the DGP, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad, has informed that
Sri G. Raghava Reddy ASI and Sri Ramji PC 1639 of Mahabubnagar District were dealt with on
a P.Roll involving an O.E. for the following delinquency:
“Gross neglect of duty in not registering a case against sand smugglers and accepting
gratification of Rs. 6000/- for releasing the vehicle and drivers and thereby resorted to
illegal activities.”
2. The DIG, Hyderabad Range, Hyderabad after following procedure prescribed in APCS
(CCA) Rules, 1991, has held the charges as proved and imposed the punishment of RTSP by one
stage for a period of two years with effect on future increments on the two charged officers by
treating their suspension period as not on duty, in his procgs.No. 503/D-18/HR/2008, R.O.No.
26/2009 dated: 15-1-2009. The appeal petitions of both the charged officers were considered and
the penalty was modified to that of PPI for one year with cumulative effect by the appellate
authority vide proceedings dated: 4-2-2010.
3. Aggrieved by the above, both the individuals have submitted revision petitions to the
Government requesting to set aside the penalty of PPI for one year with cumulative effect.
4. Government, after careful examination of the matter, hereby reject the requests of Sri
G. Raghava Reddy ASI and Sri Ramji PC 1639 of Mahabubnagar District, to set aside the
penalty of PPI for one year with cumulative effect.
5. The DGP, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad, is requested to take necessary action accordingly
in the matter. The records received in the reference 3rd read above are returned herewith, the
receipt of which should be acknowledged.
