HOME (SER-II) DEPARTMENT G.O.Rt.No. 375 dated:9-3-2012 Read the following: 1. From Sri S. Venkateshwara Rao, H.C.140, CAR, Vijayawada, petition Dated:15-11-2010 2. Govt.Memo.No.34344/Ser-II/A2/10, dated: 27-11-2010. 3. From the DGP, AP, Hyderabad, Lr.Rc.No.4231/Appeal-2/ 2010, dated: 3-6-2011 ****** ORDER: In the reference 3rd read above, the DGP, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad, has informed that Sri S. Venkateshwara Rao, H.C.140, CAR, Vijayawada, was dealt with on a P.Roll involving an O.E. for the following delinquency: “Gross dereliction of duty and exhibition of reprehensible conduct in absenting from VIP guard duty at the residence of the Hon’ble Minister for Municipal Administration at 1725 hrs on 16-6-2008” 2. The Commissioner of Police, Vijayawada city, duly following the procedure prescribed under APCS (CC&A) Rules, held the charge as proved and imposed the punishment of Postponement of Increment for two years with effect on future increments and pension, against the above individual treating the suspension period from 18.6.2008 to 9-8-2008 as ‘Not on Duty’” vide proceedings C.No.10/PR/2008, (D.O.No.479/2009) dated: 13-8-2009. The appeal petition of the charged officer was considered and modified the penalty to that of PPI for one year with cumulative effect by the Appellate authority vide proceedings dated: 28-6-2010. 3. Aggrieved by the above, the individual has submitted revision petition to the Government requesting to set aside the penalty of PPI for one year with effect. 4. Government, after careful examination of the matter, hereby reject the request of Sri S. Venkateshwara Rao, H.C.140, CAR, Vijayawada, to set aside the penalty of PPI for one year with effect. 5. The DGP, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad, is requested to take necessary action accordingly in the matter. The records received in the reference 3rd read above are returned herewith, the receipt of which should be acknowledged.
