74-Mahabubnagar, 81-Nagarkurnool, 85-Kokkapur, 99-Ghanpur
(Station) SC) and 235-Kovur Assembly Constituencies in Adilabad,
Nizamabad, Mahabubnagar, Warangal and Nellore districts scheduled
to be held on 18-3-2012 – Suspension of issuance of Fresh Arms
Licence, Restriction on possession of arms, and Deposition of Fire
Arms/Weapons by the Licence holders in the Police Stations
concerned in the 4 Parlimentary & 18 Assembly Constituencies in the
State – Notification – Issued.

ORDER:
The following notification will be published in an Extraordinary issue
of the Andhra Pradesh Gazette, dated : 14-03-2012.
NOTIFICATION
1. Whereas Bye Election to 07-Adilabad, 16-Kamareddy
74-Mahabubnagar, 81-Nagarkurnool, 85-Kollapur, 99-Ghanpur
(Station) SC) and 235-Kovur Assembly Constituencies in Adilabad,
Nizamabad, Mahabubnagar, Warangal and Nellore Districts in the
State of Andhra Pradesh scheduled to be held on 18-3-2012.
2. And whereas, the General Administration (Election-B)
Department in the U.O.Note read above have requested to issue
necessary orders on depositing of Fire Arms and to impose ban on
issue of New Licences in to 07-Adilabad, 16-Kamareddy 74-
Mahabubnagar, 81-Nagarkurnool, 85-Kollapur, 99-Ghanpur (Station)
SC) and 235-Kovur Assembly Constituencies in Adilabad, Nizamabad,
Mahabubnagar, Warangal and Nellore Districts in view of Bye-
Elections scheduled to be held on 18.3.2012 and also to issue suitable
restriction on possession of Arms.
3. Now, therefore, in exercise of powers conferred by sub-section
(9) of section 17 of the Arms Act, 1959 (Central Act 54 of 1959) read

with the notification G.S.R.1309, dated. the 1 October, 1962, of the
Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, New Delhi, the
Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby suspend all the Arms Licences
granted under the said Act and impose ban on issue of new licences
in view of the Bye Elections to 07-Adilabad, 16-Kamareddy 74-
Mahabubnagar, 81-Nagarkurnool, 85-Kollapur, 99-Ghanpur (Station)
SC) and 235-Kovur Assembly Constituencies in Adilabad, Nizamabad,
Mahabubnagar, Warangal and Nellore Districts in the State of Andhra
Pradesh scheduled to be held on 18-3-2012, with immediate effect.

4. The Government further direct that all the Arms Licence holders
residing in the above said Assembly Constituencies in the State of
Andhra Pradesh shall deposit their Fire Arms in the respective Police
Stations or the District Magistrates or Superintendents of Police or
with the Licensed Arms Dealers with in ten (10) days from the date of
issue of this Notification except those issued to persons employed on
guard duty in the premises of Nationalized Banks, Public Sector
Undertakings and Security Personnel in the State.
5. These orders shall be in force till the announcement of result of
Bye Elections to 07-Adilabad, 16-Kamareddy 74-Mahabubnagar, 81-
Nagarkurnool, 85-Kollapur, 99-Ghanpur (Station) SC) and 235-Kovur
Assembly Constituencies in Adilabad, Nizamabad, Mahabubnagar,
Warangal and Nellore Districts in the State of Andhra Pradesh
scheduled to be held on 18-3-2012.
